Certified Water Quality Tests

Water quality testing is a specialized test that checks a home’s water supply for contaminants and pollutants, such as chlorine, lead, and coliform bacteria. Testing can reveal chemical imbalances of the pH, and other attributes, such as hardness of the water. Testing ensures that the home’s water is consumable and safe for everyday use. The EPA recommends that a residential water supply be tested annually for bacteria, nitrates, solids, pH levels, and other factors.

Be Sure the Water You Drink is Safe

No natural water source is completely free of impurities; contaminants and pathogens must be monitored and mitigated. With the passage of the Safe Drinking Water Act of 1974, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) set standards that determined the level for the safe consumption of 80 contaminants. Water system plants test and treat water. However, these protections can and do fail. A professional inspector will test and check for bacteria, including E. coli and coliform. In many areas, mortgage lenders require water quality testing for properties with private wells. Testing a community well may not be required by individual lenders, as this is normally the purview of the municipality.

Detailed Inspection Reports

Buying a property can be a stressful experience, so be sure to choose someone who has your best interest in mind, and can provide you with the right information needed to make the best decision. Each residential inspection is documented in a detailed inspection report, complete with high-quality images, detailed analysis, and recommendations. The report covers the condition of the home’s heating system; central air conditioning system; interior plumbing system; electrical system; roof, attic, and visible insulation; walls, ceilings, floors, windows, and doors; the foundation, basement, and all structural components. The inspection report is sent to you online shortly after the inspection is completed. Each report is mobile-friendly and can easily be copied and pasted if you need to share the information with anyone.
